Just watching Barrack Obama’s speech on Facebook, being streamed from Youtube. He is talking about cuts. In the UK we have had riots (albeit mostly by people with other motives) about the cuts.
Our man David Cameron has been talking about The Big Society, which means people doing stuff for themselves as the local government runs out of cash.
Barack Obama is talking about reforms which are focused on the idea of Shared Responsibility. That sounds like the same thing, he copied us!

What is most interesting here though is how well Barack Obama is using social media to speak to the people, especially to speak to the younger voters. His Facebook page is one of the most popular there is. He has 19,377,637 fans on Facebook, that is 5 times more than Usain Bolt, the fastest man on earth!
Whenever Cameron talks to “the kids” he looks like he is trying really hard to be cool, and often failing. Barack is just naturally very cool.
“We gotta have the best roads, the quickest trains, the fastest broadband, that is who we are!” – good to hear this, many people in the UK are worried that the cuts are too deep and will hold back development.
“America has always been the World’s engine of innovation and discovery“- not always! Who invented the ships that sailed over the Atlantic all those years ago?
