The DroidAnalytics app review
Whether you’re an SEO or just someone who likes to check your site’s SEO parameters all the time, the DroidAnalytics app is definitely for you! It’s basically a pretty private story because I fell in love with the app at first site. So, please don’t talk too bad about the app in the comments. Just kidding. OK, now let’s talk business, guys.
Profiles
One of the first features that will catch your eye is that thing that you can have lots of profiles at the same time. Just login to all of them and then you’ll be able to switch over to the one you need at a particular moment. In case you happen to be an SEO manager, you’ll need this very feature left and right.
Main screen
Once you click on the profile you want to check stats for, you’ll be redirected to the main screen of your profile. Most of the screen is occupied by the stats table that gives you the details of daily page views, visits, visitors, P/V (page view per visit), Bounce (bounce rate), and time (time on site). At the bottom of the screen, you can see the other features.
Main options
Now let’s see what sort of options you can use (the ones at the bottom of the main screen):
- The very first option allows you to see your site’s graph by Page Views, Visitors, Visits, Bounce, Avg. Time, and P/V;
- The second option (the one with the clock icon) enables you to view your hourly stats for today, yesterday, this last 7 days, this last 30 days, and using the current date range;
- The third option makes it possible to see stats weekly;
- The fourth one shows stats monthly;
- And the fifth option shows stats annually (it’s useful only if you have a rather old site);
- The next option (the one with the calendar icon) allows you to set your desired date range;
- The second to last button has the ability to show top keywords, countries, sources of traffic, search engines, referring sites, browsers, operating system, page paths, and even goal conversions! I know some of the features may be even unknown to fresh SEOs, but you still have them in the very feature-rich app;
- And the last option on the main screen just shows a list of the site profiles you can choose from.
Now, if you click the menu button on your Android device, you’ll be able to see the settings of the app.
Settings
The data settings section allows you to select the amount of the days to get in daily view, weeks to get in weekly view, months to get in monthly view, and … you got it …. years to get in yearly view. Sorry for the prolonged tandem of tautologies. My bad
In the Top Settings section, you can define max results for top keywords view, top countries view and so on. The display settings feature allows to just specify the number and date format. The What’s New section just displays the change log that you might want to read. And the last option is pretty much just a link to the other apps of the developers.
Personal conclusion
All and all, the app is really good. Pretty nice performance and useful results right at the click of your finger, for lack of a better word. But there’s one thing that sorta disappointed me a bit. Once you fire up the app, it’s in portrait view, but after you select your site profile it goes to landscape view. And you are sort of forced to turn around your device.
Disclaimer: perhaps it works like that only with Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 running gingerbread, but I can’t say that for sure. In either case, if you’re an SEO geek, you want that app. Hands down!
